By law, chainsaw operators must have adequate training relevant to the type of work they undertake. Full PPE must be worn. Checks will be made before hiring, and maintenance of the equipment will be completed before and after each hire. Double handle chainsaws are traditionally used on the ground alongside pole saws for hard to reach areas. When working at height in a tree, it is recommended to use a top handle chainsaw. Top handle chainsaws are designed to be operated with a single hand and should not be operated whilst on the ground HSS Groundcare supplies all three types of the chainsaw, battery and two-stroke powered. *Bar and chain length are dependent on customers’ requirements within the equipment’s specification and tolerance.
